In all our picks, we have unique features that contribute to the overall functionality of the picks and their tone.
These features, as you can see in our infographic, are:
Plus Handle
The additional part of the pick known as the Plus Handle allows for holding the pick farther out in your fingers for different playing experiences and attacks. The added Plus Handle allows for added comfort as well when playing for longer periods of rhythm guitar, for example. For some, the added handle allows them to grip the pick enough to play using a pick for the first time or again after some time of not using them.
Grip Space
The horizontal oval shape cutout in the middle of the Plus Handle is known as the Grip Space.
The Grip Space is important for a couple of reasons. One, it allows for skin-to-skin contact that allows your brain to connect in a more secure and intuitive fashion. Second, With this Grip Space and other additional features, you will not drop your pick again. The horizontal nature of the space serves to work against the pick spinning in your fingers while playing and, if it does start to move, will give you a quick, intuitive reference/feeling of where your positioning comfort is again and you will be in that position again quickly, all without dropping the pick.
Familiar Pick Shape
The familiar pick shape is a salute to the effective functionality of the original shape design. No need to completely change something that works well in several areas, we just add features that are unique and allow for new and improved functionality of the original design. The familiar shape also allows for you to play holding the pick as you do now. If that is your preferred comfort zone for playing style, you can still take advantage of the benefits of some of our other features and still feel comfortable playing using the PickPlus!
Beveled Edge
The beveled edge that surrounds our picks is there for the best tone and attack when playing the guitar. Having the bevel extend around the shape allow for playing in any holding position. Flip the pick around for a new and different playing experience!
Raised Lettering
This is a pretty obvious feature- it helps in grippability and the feel of the pick.
